Preparation time – 20 minutes
Total Time – 30 minutes
- 1 ½ cup of pitted Medjool dates (which will be around 16 dates). It should be soaked for a minimum of 20 minutes.
- 1 cup of raw walnut pieces
- ¼ C – ½ C Cocoa powder – It is recommended that you use more for a rich flavour and if the traditional cocoa powder is used then add less first but can be added if there is a need.
- A pinch of Salt
- 2 to 4 tablespoons of water
Method – You will need to mix all the ingredients in the food processor. It is advised that you should start with less water to have a smooth dough. You can add water gradually if needed for the smooth batter. Taste the dough made and add more cocoa powder if you need the rich flavour.
Once you are satisfied with the taste and batter, pour the batter into the baking dish which should be lined with parchment paper and top with additional walnut pieces.
Let the brownie set in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Then you can cut into the pieces and serve them.
